CHALLENGE EIGHT COMPLETED!!
On Sunday 26th October I completed the Nairobi Marathon which marked the completion of challenge number eight and the end of the last month of intensive physical challenges.
To say I came away from it scott free would be an exaggeration, my legs felt very tired during the last few km’s which made up the long final home straight, I’ve got a big red toe nail which is due to drop off sometime soon and, according to my Mum and Dad, I’ve lost a good few kilograms since they saw me last!
But there you have it another part of this crazy, awesome
adventure is over and it’s starting to feel like I’m hitting the home straight
back to the
Ras Dashen, the highest of Ethiopia’s Simien Mountains, stands in the way of completing the last of the mountain challenges, and with no obvious replacement for the cancelled Victoria Falls marathon back in August it looks like I will now run the last 26 miles back home to Petersfield to give me the last of the five marathons, not an official one but the best I can do – any support on Christmas Eve as I run the final challenge would be gratefully received!
Eight down, two to go…..
