A relatively new street circuit marathon which was first run in 2003 and features as one of the four races which make up the ‘Greatest Race on Earth’, the others being in Hong Kong, Mumbai and Singapore.
It may not be the most scenic or highly attended race we’ll be entering, but as it’s run at nearly 8,000ft above sea level will provide a totally different type of challenge due to the lack of oxygen – probably one of the hardest we’ll be competing in then!
The Greeks invented it, the Kenyans perfected it. What a way to finish the 5 Marathons challenge, running alongside some of the greatest runners on the planet (for the first few metres at least).
While five marathons worth of jarrs strains and sprains will be stored in our legs, a year of training should now be paying dividends. 
This marathon, despite being higher than most ski resorts should be reasonably comfortable. Comfortable in Marathon terms, you understand. Pain is a relative affair and one that will soon be readjusting to ordinary life again, albeit with the painful memory of this pink loop engrained on our lungs and legs forever more. Our main aim is simply to get to this stage with five summit photographs and five finishers medals to take home with all our limbs still working: whatever times we post, this will be an epic achievement to be proud of in itself.
